How to Thrive in the New Year

The start of a brand new year is an extremely powerful time where the energy of new beginnings can propel you forward along your path. It’s important to harness this energy now, and create simple practices that will help you thrive this new year. Yes, right now set a strong intention to not just survive this new year, but to thrive like a plant who has lots of rain and healthy sunshine. Take a moment to ask yourself, “What would thriving in the new year look like for me?” Who would I be if I were thriving, and what would I be manifesting?” Simply write down the answers to these questions before proceeding. Now that you know what you want to manifest, here are three simple steps you can follow to thrive in the new year:

1. Adopt an Unstoppable Manifesting Attitude. 
The difference between people who simple survive, and those that thrive is the feeling state they have around manifesting whatever it is that they desire.  If you full-heartedly believe that you can manifest your intentions for the New Year, and you can deeply tap into the glorious feeling of already having achieved your success, then you will send out a vibration to the Universe that will automatically magnetize your desires into your life.  The secret really is believing and knowing that your success is on its way without there being a smidgen of doubt in any molecule of your being. So, how can you create this kind of attitude? Adopting a daily manifesting routine is the most effective way of creating an unstoppable manifesting attitude where you can easily attract what you truly desire in 2009. 3. Celebrate Your Wins.
Celebration is a powerful energy that most of us forget about in our pursuit towards success.  Taking the time to celebrate will keep your manifesting energy strong and vibrant.  When you congratulate yourself on a success, you in essence embrace yourself with positive loving energy that nourishes your entire energy field and supports you in maintaining an unstoppable manifesting attitude. A great story by Rebecca Fine about letting go of old habitual (and usually unconscious) beliefs in scarcity.

“Can I really do this?” Bob asked himself. After all, he’d never even laid eyes on the woman and her two daughters until a few minutes ago, when he’d pulled into the gas station to fill up the tank.

He’d barely glanced at the rustbucket sitting on the other side of the pumps, hood up. Guess she’s having some car trouble, he thought as he swiped his credit card and started the gasoline flowing. Lucky it didn’t happen out on the highway or on some deserted road in all this rain …

“Excuse me,” came the voice from behind him, startling him out of his idle wondering. The woman smiled a bit nervously and said, “Could you please give us a jump start? The battery seems to be dead.”

“Sure,” he answered. “I guess so.” It’s really only a few minutes out of my day, Bob told himself. No big deal. “Let me just get my jumper cables out of the trunk,” he said.

A few minutes later, though, it was clear that the situation was going to require more than a simple jump start. “Well,” Bob told the woman, “looks like you’re going to need a new battery. This one seems to be shot.”

The woman’s face fell. “Oh,” she said softly. “I’m up here from California with my two girls and I don’t know what we’ll do. I don’t know anyone here, and I just don’t have the money for a battery. Well, thank you for trying.”

Bob stood there in the glare of the station’s fluorescent lights, and although what happened next took only a moment, it seemed much longer to him. This isn’t just an annoyance, he told himself; this is an opportunity. An opportunity to really PRACTICE what I’ve been focusing on — a chance to put my faith in abundance into some real action. A chance to do something for someone else that really matters. And a chance to see if I really do have faith in abundance after all.

But maybe it’s some kind of scam and she’s a con artist just trying to get money out of unsuspecting “good Samaritans” while they’re in a holiday mood. Who knows?

Then his thoughts swung back the other way again: Well, it’ll be around $100. That’s a significant amount of money. It’s not that I can’t afford it, but it’s not exactly like I have extra hundred dollar bills just lying around either, or no other obligations. It’ll be a pinch, but … should I just DO it? Can I? Giving big chunks of money to a total stranger in need — that’s not me. At least not the OLD me. But …

And then Bob heard the words coming out of his mouth: “Look, it’s Christmas. Why don’t I just buy you a new battery as a gift so we can get you and your girls back on the road?”

“Oh!” The woman’s hand flew to her mouth as tears welled up. “Oh, I don’t know. That’s so kind of you, but it’s so much to ask.”

“You didn’t ask,” Bob said. “Let’s just go inside and see what they’ve got.” A little embarrassed, he looked down and absently toyed with the battery cables. Hmm, that’s odd, he thought. I don’t remember the cables being loose. But they were — loose enough that the clamps twisted around on the battery terminals.

“Thank you,” the woman said softly. “But let’s just try it one more time,” she added, and climbed back into her car. Why not? Bob thought, and stepped back to give her the OK.

You’ve already guessed it by now, haven’t you, Gentle Reader? She turned the key and her car started right up!

But that’s not Bob’s Holiday Miracle, although it probably seemed like one to the woman and her daughters. Bob’s REAL Holiday Miracle happened the moment he let go of his old habitual (and usually unconscious) belief in scarcity and took action based on his new faith in abundance.

What Bob learned that cold, wet day — just two days ago — was simply that we ALWAYS have faith and that we always act in accordance with that faith. Faith isn’t something we have to acquire. It’s just that most of us, most of the time are putting every ounce of our faith into the idea of scarcity rather than abundance and into the belief that whatever can go wrong, will. We can then tend to demonstrate and focus our thought and emotions on THAT faith by uselessly worrying about, well, about virtually everything! (Can’t we?)

As the 19th-century American writer and humorist Mark Twain so wonderfully put it, “I am a very old man and have suffered a great many misfortunes, most of which never happened.”

The rest of Bob’s Holiday Miracle was learning that simply being WILLING — willing to believe and willing to act — was the key (the key that actually started the car!).

You see, my friend, the old saying about giving gifts really is true: It’s the THOUGHT that counts!

The Winter Solstice is considered one of the most powerful times of the year by many cultures around the world. In the Northern Hemisphere this celestial event usually occurs on December 21st. The timing of the solstice this year will be Sunday, December 21, at 7:04 a.m. EST, 4:04 a.m. PST, or 12:04 p.m. Universal Time.

The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year, and it heralds the initial impulse of the annual return of the Sun, the Light, to the Earth. This year the spiritual effects of the solstice will be more powerful than ever before. This is due to the incredible influx of Light that is pouring into the planet through the heartfelt pleas of people everywhere.

Humanity is experiencing the most intensified purging of the economic system, and the various other social structures that do not operate with a consciousness of the highest good for all concerned, that we have ever endured. This is a necessary cleansing that is paving the way for the physical manifestation of the patterns of perfection for the New Earth. The difficult part of this process is that the masses of Humanity do not see the bigger picture. Millions of people see only the painful situations that are happening in their lives. As a result of this limited perception, they feel overwhelmed and hopeless. This is very hard to observe, but it is not all bad.

After our fall from Grace aeons ago, we became so numb to the discord in our lives that we just muddled through our Earthly experiences accepting mediocrity as a natural state of being. We fell into the terrible habit of using pain as our motivator. Unless we were writhing in agony, we did not feel that it would help to take action or to ask for assistance from our Father-Mother God. For millions of people on Earth, prayer and an invocation for Light from our God Parents occurs only when they are brought to their knees by their life situations. This is exactly what is happening at this time for millions of people all over the world.

The Company of Heaven is revealing to us now that more people than ever before are reaching a critical moment in their life experiences. Consequently, millions of people are asking God for Divine Intervention. Many of them are praying for the very first time. This powerful event, in unison with the millions of Lightworkers who daily invoke the Light of God, has created the greatest influx of Light the Earth has ever experienced during a Winter Solstice. This Heavenly assistance will greatly empower the patterns of perfection for the New Earth, and it will accelerate our individual hopes and dreams by leaps and bounds.

Beginning now, and continuing for the next 72 hours, focus intently on the vision of what you want to manifest in your life and the lives of your loved ones. Focus on your visions for the New Earth and the harmony and balance you wish for all Humanity. This is a rare opportunity, and we are being called to action by our God Selves our I AM Presence and the Company of Heaven. Be sure your visions and your intentions always reflect our Oneness and the Reverence of ALL Life.

This event will pave the way for a God Victorious New Year. 2009 is going to be a year of miraculous changes. These changes have been in the works for quite some time, and now we are going to experience them tangibly in the world of form. These changes will not happen by chance. They will occur through the unified efforts of Lightworkers all over the world and the Company of Heaven.

I know there are a lot of dire predictions regarding the global economy and the challenges Humanity is going through, but we are not the victims of circumstance. We are the cocreators of our Earthly experiences. If we do not like the way things are going in our lives, we have the ability to change our circumstances. This is what we have been preparing for aeons to accomplish and now is the time.

As the Hopi prophecy states: We are the ones we have been waiting for.

2009 numerically is an 11 year. Eleven is the master number that reflects the transformation of the physical into the Divine. The archetypes for the patterns of perfection for the New Earth were securely anchored into the physical plane in August 2008. In 2009, through our creative faculties of thought and feeling, we will expand these patterns into our daily experiences.

The purging and cleansing of the obsolete behavior patterns that have caused the maladies existing in Humanity’s lives will continue. But the wonderful news is, as these old archetypes crumble away, the expansion of the patterns of perfection for the New Earth will begin to manifest in ways that will bring joy, fulfillment and great expectations into the hearts and minds of people everywhere.

There is a new sense of hope flooding through the hearts of people around the world. Humanity’s hope is magnetizing Legions of Light from the Realms of Perfection into the atmosphere of Earth in ways we have never experienced. The Divine Intent of these Messengers of God is to assist Humanity to move quickly through the cleansing process so that the bliss of the New Earth will manifest in the twinkling of an eye.

2009 is going to be whatever we cocreate together. Do not let this opportunity pass you by.
