“Vancouver’s Centre for Integrated Healing has embarked on a cutting-edge approach to fighting cancer: the doctors here are combining some healing arts with the best weapons from science and technology’s arsenal.

The strategy of employing nutrition, yoga, and meditation as techniques for resisting cancer and preventing recurrences is no longer the radical idea that it was when Dr. Hal Gunn graduated from UBC’s medical school in 1981. Today, the co-founder of the nine-year-old non-profit organization has a growing file of medical research that shows the influence diet and exercise have on a host of illnesses, from cancer and heart disease to depression. And he teaches a session at his alma mater on ‘Wellness and the Art of Healing’…”
