Candlelight Vigils for Peace

Sorry for the late notice on this one. A friend of a friend of mine was one of several people that submitted ideas to… and they selected her idea. Although it may not be described as such, her idea is to create a peace vortex.

Essentially I’d say the idea is to simply spread love, peace and light. No info about the war in Iraq, or any war need be stated, verbally or on any signs. As The Secret (and many books etc.) teach, focus on what you want, not what you want to get rid of. So, don’t focus on getting rid of war – that simply creates more war. Focus instead on Peace!

Mother Theresa never attended an anti-war rally. She understand how things worked!

“I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.”

Americans across the country are more concerned than ever about our direction in Iraq. Now is the time for Congress to force a change.

On March 19th, thousands of us from organizations across the movement will gather together to observe the fourth anniversary of the war through candlelight vigils. We’ll solemnly honor the sacrifice made by more than 3,000 servicemen and women, and we’ll contemplate the path ahead of us. We cannot send tens of thousands of exhausted, under-equipped, and unprepared troops into the middle of an Iraqi civil war.

Join us at a candlelight vigil on Monday, March 19th. Honor the sacrifice. Stop the escalation. Bring the troops home.

Join or organize your own candlelight vigil
